Pewter is a malleable metal alloy, typically 85-99% tin, the balance consisting of copper, antimony, bismuth, and sometimes even less frequently lead. It has a low melting point, about 170-230 ° C (338-446 ° F), depending on the exact mixture of metals.

Pewter was used in the ancient world, the Egyptians and later by the Romans mainly on the production of tableware and art objects.
Today, pewter is used for decorative objects, mainly collectible statuettes and figurines, playing pieces, airplanes, and other models or replicas of coins, charms, plated jewelry, and so on.
