Product description
MERBAU has a brown to brown-red color with golden stripes, originating from Southeast Asia and Oceania. It is popular in interiors for its interesting, atypical appearance, and due to its high hardness and stability, it is also suitable for exteriors.
During the exposure of Merbau wood to rain or high humidity, initially part of the natural oils wash out of the wood in the form of a brown liquid similar to black coffee. The leaching process usually takes weeks depending on the frequency and intensity of rain. Make sure that the natural dye, which will wash out of the wood during the rain, does not stain the places under and around it.
MERBAU is one of the highest quality woods in the world with very good physical and mechanical properties.
Application: Merbau is suitable wherever high hardness and strength are required. It is used: - exterior and interior constructions - window frames - parquet - veneers - turned products, handles of various utensils.
Durability: It is high. Merbau tolerates weather fluctuations well. It is very resistant to termites and fungi.
