The whetstone should not be exposed to temperatures of 0°C or lower.
This wheel was developed for hard materials and fast profiling.
Fast removal of steel is an advantage, especially when grinding tools with a large cutting edge where grinding pressure is limited, e.g. planer iron
and lathe chisels.
With the SB-250 stone, you can also modify tungsten carbide tools that have a fixed shape.
The very sharp grains remove steel effectively despite their small size.
