Product description
Description of steel
Sleipner is an alloyed chromium-molybdenum-vanadium tool steel, which is characterized by good resistance to cutting wear, good resistance to facet chipping, high compressive strength, hardness greater than 60 HRC even after a higher tempering temperature, good hardenability (if the steel is exposed to high temperatures), good dimensional stability in the quenching process, good resistance to self-tempering at temperatures up to 300°C. It also emphasizes durability when chopping. Thanks to the carefully balanced ratio of chromium, molybdenum and vanadium, the steel is characterized by high versatility.
