1) First I cut two pads from one piece of Jatapol Swirl
2) Then I added pads made of white fiber and brass, including a brass shield. I fit everything on the Lauri Carbon 125 blade
3) I drilled the narrowest possible hole in the Wenge wood so that the blade would fit in, but it had as little space as possible to consume as little epoxy as possible. Last check before gluing. (I have cuts on the blade to hold it as firmly as possible in the handle). I use a two-component epoxy from UHU.
4) Glued and clamped in a gluing clamp. Now I put in the oven and bake at a temperature of 100 degrees for 10 minutes! Then I let it cool spontaneously and I can work it right away…
5) First I work with a rough rasp and then with a file. Everything nicely by hand, without the help of a grinder. When the approximate shape is ready, I use sandpaper from 100 grit to the finest 2000 for complete fine-tuning before polishing…
6) Before polishing, I glue the wooden handle so that I really only polish the brass shield and Jatapol Swirl. I polish with blue paste and a cloth wheel on a hand drill tucked in the vice…
The color of this fantastic material will really climb in depth only after polishing! The more the joy of the result, the more!
7) In the last step, I made a leather case from a very strong and hard cowhide and threaded the Paracord cord, for hanging on the hand… The work is done!
