Brass - sheets 40*100mm

Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc , or part of the zinc is replaced by another metal (ternary brass).

Yellow brass has around 35% zinc . It has a wide field of use in mechanics, electrical engineering, in the production of various other metal goods and also in model making.

The advantages of brass include good machinability, corrosion resistance and decent conductivity.

The strength is not very high, but quite sufficient for many applications. Brasses join well by soldering and also plating.

Tombak is a special type of brass used to make projectile casings.

Brass sheet can be well shaped, bent or pressed even when cold.

Suitable for creating shields, ends and fittings or as decorative parts of folded knife handles.
