Product description
Centered for symmetrical grinding
When you mount the knife in the KJ-45 fixture, it will self-center in the fixture, regardless of its thickness or geometry. This means that the tool will center everything from the thinnest knives to knives up to 10 mm thick and 6 mm for narrow knives. This also means that the knife blades, which taper from the back to the edge and from the heel to the tip, are centered in the jig, ensuring symmetrical sharpening on both sides of the knife. Easy to set up, perfect results.
User freedom
Because the KJ-45 Knife Centering Jig is positioned with the stop resting loosely on the universal support, you can follow the shapes of the knife, always guided by the universal support as a reference point. Thanks to this, it is possible to sharpen knives with different blade shapes, from craft knives to butcher knives and classic chef's knives.
Perfectly balanced and ergonomic
During the design and construction of the tool for the centering knife KJ-45, emphasis was also placed on the user experience. For the best grinding experience, most of the tool's weight is focused on the clamps, the part closest to the actual grinding. This provides a very well-balanced feel in use. The stop end was designed with ergonomics in mind. There is a flat surface that you can place your thumb on to secure the fixture against the universal support. This little feature makes grinding much more convenient.

Fits most knives
The knife centering tool KJ-45 centers knife blades up to 10 mm thick. You can sharpen knives with blades up to 60mm (2.36″) long and 12mm (0.47″) high. For smaller knives, you can combine the knife tool with the small knife holder SVM-00, which allows you to sharpen even your smallest knives. The KJ-45 knife centering jig also has a stop that allows you to sharpen really tall knives like cleavers. In combination with the Universal Extended Guide Rod US-430, you can also sharpen taller knives or tools.
For knives with a long and flexible knife blade, such as fillet knives, there is a KJ-140 Wide Knife Centering Tool that stabilizes flexible blades for symmetrical results.
