Nickel is a typical metallic ferromagnetic element, a silver-white, highly lustrous metal with a purity of 99% .

It can be polished very well, is very ductile and can be forged, welded and rolled into sheet metal or drawn into wires.

Due to the relatively very good resistance of metallic nickel to atmospheric influences and water, a very thin nickel layer is often applied to the surfaces of less resistant metals, most often iron.

Simple work tools such as screwdrivers or keys are usually modified in this way, but also some surgical instruments and aids are nickel-plated.

Suitable for the production of guards, bolsters, fittings or as a decorative part of folded knife handles.
