Reindeer crown

Arctic reindeer (Rangifer tarandus) or caribou in North America is a Nordic ruminant from the deer family.

Reindeer reaches a height at the withers of 90–120 cm, a body length of about 180 cm and a weight of 80–180 kg.

Unlike other deer, both male and female reindeer bear antlers. Although the female's antlers are gracile, much weaker than the male's, the female sheds them later.

Their shape varies among individual subspecies, but they are usually arched and strongly branched, the front tips are flattened on the sides and continue to branch, the animal can use them to dig up snow while searching for food.
