Renaissance Metal De-Corroder

Preparing the workspace:

• Make sure the work area is well ventilated, ideally outside or in a well ventilated area.
• If working indoors, protect the floor and surrounding surfaces against splashes or drips.

Preparation of the metal surface:

• Before applying the cutter, the surface must be thoroughly cleaned of dust, dirt and possible surface impurities that could limit the effectiveness of the product.
• Any large pieces of corrosion can be removed with a brush or sponge.

Application:

• The Renaissance Metal De-Corroder will work best at a temperature of 10 - 20 °C. A lower temperature slows down the process, which is convenient when applying over the weekend.
• Shake the product bottle thoroughly to mix the contents evenly.
• Apply Metal De-Corroder with a brush, sponge or spray, or immerse the object in the solution, depending on preference and surface size.
• Apply the product to the affected areas and cover the entire surface to be treated.

Wait and act:

• Allow the Metal De-Corroder to work. The exposure time may vary depending on the severity of the corrosion and the type of metal.
• While waiting, keep the applied area dry and protect it from rain or moisture if you are working outside.

Rinse and remove the rust:

• After the exposure time, rinse the treated surface with clean water, which will stop the process. Thoroughly remove all traces of Metal De-Corroder.
• If necessary, repeat the application and waiting process until you are satisfied with the result.

Protection and maintenance:

• After removing the corrosion and rinsing the surface, dry it and protect it with a suitable surface protection agent, e.g. Renaissance wax polish .
• Regularly inspect the treated surface and carry out the necessary maintenance work to prevent corrosion from reoccurring.
