JAPANESE GRINDSTONE SJ-250
With this disc, you can achieve a mirror-like surface without visible grooves.
The stone was made for sharpening hand tools, for which the shape and angle of the blade is already given and is needed
extra smooth tool surface. It is ideal for carving tools, knives, scissors, straight irons and chisels.
The surface created on the SJ-250 is so fine that the tool should not be honed on
a leather honing wheel, as there is a risk of damage to the surface of the blade by abrasive grains that have adhered
in the leather wheel during previous lapping.
The surface of the stone should be cleaned of steel particles approximately every minute. Cleaning is easy
with a cleaning cube (carpenter's sponge) or the fine side of the grain adjustment stone SP-650.
The SJ-250 stone must not be adjusted with the rough side of the SP-650 grain adjustment stone! It would happen
to undesired roughening of the surface and the preparation could leave rough grains on the surface of the abrasive
stone.
