Pewter is a malleable metal, an alloy usually 85 to 99% tin , the remainder consisting of copper, antimony, bismuth, and sometimes less often lead.

It has a low melting point, around 170–230 °C (338–446 °F), depending on the exact mix of metals.

Pewter was used in the ancient world, by the Egyptians and later by the Romans, mainly for the production of tableware and art objects .

Today, Pewter is used for decorative items , mainly collectible figurines and figurines, toy figures, airplanes and other models or replica coins, pendants, plated jewelry and so on.
